Hip-Hop Bingo · NJ / NYC
A live music bingo game where the DJ drops the tracks that raised us.
The 80s Sugarhill Gang through 2000s Jay‑Z, on 5×5 cards instead of numbers. Recognize the song, daub the square, yell “TAKE ME BACK!” when you hit five in a row. Cash prizes every round.
The Game
What is hip-hop bingo?
Hip-hop bingo is a live music game where the DJ plays 30‑second clips of classic hip-hop songs instead of calling numbers. Each player gets a 5×5 card printed with 24 song titles and a FREE center square. When the DJ drops a clip, you listen for the track, and if it's on your card, you daub the square. Five in a row — horizontal, vertical, or diagonal — wins the round.
The catalog runs from the founding era through the mainstream: Run‑DMC, Sugarhill Gang, and Public Enemy from the 80s; Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, and Wu‑Tang from the 90s; Jay‑Z, 50 Cent, Kanye West, and Eminem from the 2000s. If you grew up on it, it's on the card.
Take Me Back Bingo runs public hip‑hop bingo nights out of Lake Chateau Banquets in Woodbridge, NJ, plus private bookings across New Jersey and New York.
How it Works
Three rounds. Three winners. One long night.
- You get a card at the door. Each card holds 24 unique hip‑hop song titles drawn from a pool of 150 tracks across three decades. Everyone at your table gets a different card — no two are identical.
- The DJ drops a 30-second clip. Jersey Club King DJ Tameil runs the decks. If you recognize the song and it's on your card, you daub that square. If it's not on your card, you dance to it while you wait.
- Five in a row, yell "TAKE ME BACK!" Horizontal, vertical, or diagonal — whoever calls it first with a verified card wins the round and a cash prize. Then we reshuffle for round two.
Between rounds: dance battles, lip sync wars, and a full dance floor. It's a music game with a party wrapped around it, not the other way around.

FAQ
Questions we get before people buy.
-
Do I need to know every song to play?
No. Cards are drawn from 150 songs, so everyone gets a different mix. If you recognize even a dozen of your 24, you can hit a five‑in‑a‑row. And dance battles between rounds don't need a card.
-
How is hip-hop bingo different from music trivia?
Trivia rewards recall — you have to name the artist and title fast. Music bingo rewards recognition — you just have to know whether the song matches a square you already have. Way lower pressure, way more fun.
-
What decades do you play?
Every card pulls from 80s, 90s, and 2000s hip‑hop, plus R&B from the same eras if you want that mix. The full pool is 150 songs deep.
-
Are there prizes?
Cash prizes every round — three rounds per night. Amounts scale with attendance.
-
Is it 21+?
Public events are 21+ (venue liquor license). Private bookings can be all‑ages depending on your venue.
-
Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
Yes. Every public night sells out. Early birds are the difference — grab your seat when the calendar drops.
